Chevrolet Beat join hands with Levis on the occasion of 15th anniversary of the latter. This is the first of its kind collaboration between two American brands defining the newer reaches of a youth oriented marketing strategy. The duo designed an exclusive Chevrolet Beat with a blue denim look and feel. The exteriors and interiors of the car have been done in denim prints.
The contest was named as "Wear your Beat" and had Chevrolet Beat as the grand prize for the winner of the contest. The same strategy was seen in China last year when General Motors clothed a brand new Chevrolet Aveo U-VA in denims.
In the contest, the contestants were asked to wear any of the outfits from any Levis Apparel and strike a pose next to the Denim clothed Beat. They were then asked to tag their picture as tough, sexy or smart on the Wear Your Beat website. The winners of the contest are to be chosen by an online voting. The lucky winner would then get a chance to win the denim Chevrolet Beat.
Chevrolet has specifically targeted Chevrolet Beat towards the youth of India. With innovative and interactive marketing strategies backing their sales plans, Chevrolet is already successful in driving huge sales volumes for the car.
